The Emergency Department is a 27 bed unit. We are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by emergency medicine physicians and emergency nurses with specialized training in acute emergency evaluations and advanced resuscitations. Every patient is assessed by a registered nurse to determine treatment priority needs. We strive to have all our patients seen by a physician or treatment initiated within 30 minutes. We have Bedside Registration and Mental Health Social Workers on-call 24 hours a day. Our physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff are committed to providing quality, holistic care with compassion, dignity and respect to our patients as we strive to make the hospital experience a positive one. Everyone who comes to our Emergency Department will be treated regardless of their ability to pay. If it is a simple sprained ankle or a life-threatening heart attack, Bon Secours Emergency Department team responds quickly and provides Good Help to Those in Need.®
